May 10, 2010 Town Board Meeting Minutes
TOWN OF NEENAH
TOWN BOARD MEETING
May 10, 2010, 7:00 pm
Municipal Building
1600 Breezewood Lane
In attendance: Jan DeKeyser, Glenn Winkler, Bob Schmeichel, Dave Dexter, and Geoff Hibner
Also in attendance: Harry Sturgis, Officer Herlache and Murial Kuehnl.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Approve the minutes from the April 26th meeting. Supervisor Winkler moved to approve the minutes from April 26, 2010. Supervisor DeKeyser seconded. Supervisor Hibner suggested two corrections. The motion passed: 5/0
3. Open Forum Time will be allowed with a one-time five minute limit for persons to express their opinion on matters relating to the Town.
a. Murial Kuehnl, 1501 Green Valley Road provided a map of drainage issues on his property. His drawing illustrated where he believes the water should flow. Mr. Kuehnl wants the water to flow properly through his property. Chairman Schmeichel stated that this is a civil matter between Mr. Kuehnl and Mr. Armstrong. Mr. Kuehnl has spoken with Land and Water and will now be speaking with the DNR.
4. Open Forum for recognized municipal and county officials.
a. Officer Herlache noted that cameras will be added to Highway 41 after reconstruction is completed.
5. Discussion/Action
a. Approve Vouchers and Payroll dated 5/11/10 Supervisor Winkler moved to approve the vouchers and payroll dated 5/11/10. Supervisor Dexter seconded. The vouchers and payroll were approved: 5/0.
b. Set date for Board of Review (proposed date June 3rd at 12 noon, with adjournment to September 7th at 1:30 pm) Supervisor DeKeyser moved to set June 3rd at 12 noon for the Board of Review with an adjournment date to September 7th at 1:30 pm. Supervisor Winkler seconded. The motion passed: 5/0
6. Old Business The clerk provided an overview of the budget class she attended.
7. New Business The clerk reported that the City of Neenah will be annexing 1370 Breezewood Lane. The City Council will vote for final approval on May 19, 2010.
8. Future Agenda/Meeting Topics
a. Plan Commission Public Hearing May 17 @ 7pm
b. Memorial Day Parade
c. Liquor Licenses late May/early June agenda
d. Insurance coverage presentation by Rob Krohlow, Glatfelter June 14th Board meeting
e. Clerks vacation June 19 through July 4
9. Adjourn Supervisor Winkler moved to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor DeKeyser seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 7:33 pm with a vote of 5/0.
