TOWN OF NEENAH BOARD MINUTES
June 28, 2010

Present: Bob Schmeichel, Jan DeKeyser, David Dexter, Glenn Winkler
Absent: Geoff Hibner
Also present: Harry Sturgis
Minutes
G. Winkler noted one correction: On page 3, item 7. b. Storm Water Utility District requested date change should be Friday, July 2. Motion by D. Dexter to approve minutes of June 14, 2010, as corrected. Second by G. Winkler. Motion carried 4:0.
Open Forum
Harry Sturgis noted that he looked on the Town’s website and the agenda for tonight’s meeting was not there.
Open Forum for Municipal and County Officials
None
Discussion/Action-Bartender Licenses
Motion by J. DeKeyser to approve bartender licenses for Nichole VanHout, Sarah Hannemann, Diane Caiani, Aubrey Wisen and Brian Wood, with revocation possible if the background checks come back negative. Second by G. Winkler. Motion carried 4:0.
Discussion/Action-Vouchers
J. DeKeyser indicated the invoice for Brock White is $4,000 rather than $4020 as noted on the list. Motion by G. Winkler, second by D. Dexter to approve the vouchers with the one change noted. Motion carried 4:0.
Old Business
R. Schmeichel advised Mayor Scherck called him asking if there was something he could do regarding upkeep and mowing of the lot on South Commercial Street formerly known as the Williams Gas Station. The mayor stated he gets many complaints (from city residents adjoining the lot) regarding it being a garbage collection spot attracting varmints and cats; it also has downed trees, brush, weeds, and grass not mowed. Chairman Schmeichel advised the mayor he would do something and will look into declaring the lot in violation of the Town’s nuisance ordinance.
