June 22, 2009 Town Stormwater Utility Board Meeting
STORM WATER UTILITY DISTRICT MEETING (immediately following Town Board Meeting)

In attendance: Chairman Schmeichel, Supervisors DeKeyser, Dexter, Hibner, and Winkler
Also in attendance: Dennis Jochman
AGENDA
1. The meeting was called to order at 8:38.
2. Approval of minutes from May 14, 2009. Supervisor DeKeyser moved to approve the minutes, Seconded by Supervisor Winkler. Approved 5/0.
3. Discussion/Action
a. Herziger Property – Dennis Jochman reported that the drawings from McMahon illustrated a full acre needed for the pond. To square off the property the Town would need to purchase 3.22 acres (2.22 acres of wetlands) in the NE corner. Further discussion included purchasing the entire property (6 acres of wetlands/5+ acres tableland). The original asking price for the entire property $225,000 ($20,000/ acre). The family is willing to take $22,000/acres for the tablelands and $11,000/acre for the wetlands. The new asking price is between $180,000 and $192,000. It is possible that the Town could apply for a park grant (Stewardship funding). The lots would need to be separated into lots 1 and 2; Lot 1 for storm water and lot 2 as Conservancy Park. Supervisor Dexter suggested that the Storm Water Utility District would purchase the property and sell it later to the Town. The price for the 3 acres would most likely be $22,000/acre or $66,000. The clerk will post an agenda for a Storm Water meeting on June 24th at 5:15 p.m. McMahon will be invited to discuss the advantages of 3 acres versus the full 11 acres.
b. DNR Letter regarding Michel’s Materials – This item will be put on the next Storm Water Utility District meeting.
c. MS4 Annual Report – There are 4 items in the 2008 annual report that have been identified by the DNR as inadequate or incorrect. Jan is working with McMahon on item 1, 2, and 3. Item 4 requires that the Town hire or delegate a person to regulate erosion at public buildings and places of employment, or respond that there is not status update.

Supervisor Hibner moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Supervisor DeKeyser. The motion carried 5/0. The meeting was adjourned at 10:19 pm
