STORM WATER UTILITY DISTRICT MEETING
February 22, 2010
Municipal Building

In Attendance: Jan DeKeyser, Glenn Winkler, Bob Schmeichel, Dave Dexter, and Geoff Hibner
Also in attendance: Harry Sturgis
The meeting was called to order at 7:40 pm
1. Approve the minutes from the February 8 meetings. Supervisor Dexter moved to approve the minutes from February 8 with requested changes. Supervisor DeKeyser seconded. The motion carried: 5/0.
2. Discussion/Action – McMahon Agreement to obtain NR 216 Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit. Supervisor DeKeyser moved to approve the agreement and authorize Chairman Schmeichel to sign on behalf of the Town. Supervisor Winkler seconded. The following are questions from Supervisor Hibner: Where did the$58,800 number come from? Who authorized the development of this agreement? Why would the Town spend more than the $32,900 grant money? Why would we spend any money for Stormwater until we have an answer from the DNR regarding the Michel’s solution? Chairman Schmeichel requested we delay action on the agreement until he can get further information about the total cost and intent. Supervisor Winkler asked how the County got involved….Chairman Schmeichel explained that the county may benefit from a pond on a county road and that Mr. Marquardt and Mr. Haese have expressed interest in working with the Town on a joint project at County Roads O & CB. Supervisor DeKeyser withdrew the motion. This item will be included on the March 8th Stormwater Utility Meeting agenda.
3. Old Business –
a. Supervisor DeKeyser moved to approve request #4 to the Clean Water Grant Fund for disbursement for Herziger Pond expenses. Supervisor Hibner seconded. The motion carried: 5/0.
4. New Business
5. Supervisor Winkler moved to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor Hibner seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 pm.
